Where can my dog swim?

Lakes are synonymous with water, and it’s tempting totake your dog for a swim to cool off, especially in hot weather. For safety reasons, and to respect other visitors and nature, doggie bathing is not permitted on beaches, in boating areas or in protected natural areas. To help you find your way around, here are a few recommendations on the best swimming spots for your dog at Lac du Der. These areas are not supervised, so any activity is entirely your own responsibility. There may also be times when these areas are not accessible (water level, water quality, etc.). To make sure you can get there without any problems, please contact us beforehand.

Welcome to Tourist Office

Because we love dogs and believe they have the right to enjoy vacations with you, the Lac du Der Tourist Office is a member of the Toutourisme network.

Launched in 2007 by the Troyes Tourist Office, Toutourisme is now deployed in many destinations in France. This concept enables you to quickly identify dogfriendly places during your stay. Through this label, we are committed to making your life easier by giving you all the practical information and good addresses that can welcome, pamper or care for your super pooch!

On arrival at the Tourist Office

Every pooch is entitled to a welcome bag. Inside, he’ll find a bag of treats, a dog waste bag and a Toutourisme guide listing all the places that welcome him.

Finally, a bowl of fresh water is also available for him. We call it the Toutoubar.

When walking at Lac du Der, your dog must be kept on a leash. Dogs are not allowed in the Station Nautique playgrounds and fountain area.

What should I do with my pooch?

Are you coming to spend a few days or a day with your dog on the shores of Lac du Der in the Champagne region? Here are a few ideas for things to do with your pooch and places where he’s welcome. The possibilities are endless, and you’ll find it easy to organize your stay or weekend.
