White fish fishing
The light, responsive rod, the fine lines, the scented bait, the fresh bait… Perhaps it’s memories of youth or family that come flooding back. Beginner anglers or children all go through this stage: fry fishing. These small white fish, such as gudgeon, minnow, bleak or rotengles, are often the first catch of even the youngest anglers. These small fish inhabit the waters of the lake, rivers and other streams in the region. They are relatively easy to catch, although some white fish, such as carp, bream, tench and chub, can be more devious or take up more room in the basket.
The reputation of Lac du Der’s large predators is due to the omnipresence and abundance of these white fish or forage fish.
