To facilitate your observations, suitable structures are available on the shores of Lac du Der and the surrounding ponds.
On the dike
Road on dike
To the west of the lake, the dike allows you to circulate and observe. In autumn and winter, it’s an ideal place to watch the flight of the Common Cranes as they return to the fields, but also to see them return at the end of the day.

At the foot of the building, you’ll have a view of the exit from the south basin in front of the large footbridge. In winter, large numbers of birds come here to swim and land on the mud banks opposite.
Close to ports

To the far north, next to the basin, the port of Nuisement is protected by dikes, allowing early-morning and daytime birdwatching along the dikes and on the grassy and muddy banks.
