To the west of the lake, the dike allows you to circulate and observe. In autumn and winter, it’s an ideal place to watch the flight of the Common Cranes as they return to the fields, but also to see them return at the end of the day.

Port of Giffaumont
To the south of Lac du Der, the harbor of the nautical station is often occupied by birds, summer and winter alike. Barn swallows, window swallows, black-headed gulls and common terns take advantage of the facilities to land and flutter around you.
